Wellness with Horses

Our goal at Fairytale Wellness and Horsemanship is to bring the incredible healing power of horses to our community through our exclusive programs that are tailored to suit your needs and goals. We believe inclusivity is so important! We strive to provide an environment where everyone is welcome, feels comfortable and, most importantly, has fun.

Meet Our Horses

Cody

IN MEMORY

You may recognize this handsome boy from our logo, he was the inspiration behind it. While he is no longer with us, we will never forget him. Cody was a 23 year old Medicine Hat Paint horse with two blue eyes. His favourite activities were rolling in dirt, getting his belly scratched and hanging out with his best friend Sunshine.

This pretty girl is LB. LB is a 10 year old Quarter Horse mare. Her favourite things include treats and scratches. LB is a very smart girl and can often be found trying to open gates and untie ropes. She has been known to go on her own adventures once she gets that gate open so everything needs to be double locked with this smart girl. She loves teaching new riders the ropes.

Matrix

This handsome boy has a presence that just draws people in which is why he is part of our EAL program. He is a 16 year old Canadian Warmblood gelding. Standing at 16.3HH, he is currently our tallest horse! His favourite activities are eating, pawing the air while he eats and and hanging out with his best friend Prize, who also happens to be our smallest horse. They make quite a pair!

Sampson

This beautiful grey horse is Sampson. He is a 23 year old Arabian gelding and is a teacher of intention in our EAL program. He is happy to eat and hang out on his own most days. He enjoys horse cookies and a good roll in the sand.

Magick

Magick is wise and gentle soul who loves his people. He is a 17 year old Paint gelding. His favourite activities are getting scratches, being groomed and peppermint horse cookies.

Prize

Prize is the star of the show around here, and with good reason. Not only is she cute as a button but she is just as sweet. She is a 20 year old pony mare and is happy to eat and hang out with her friends all day. She loves kids and will stand forever to be groomed by them, enjoys the occasional horse cookie and a good roll in the sand.

Meet The Team

Sarah Reid

Facilitator/Owner

Sarah is a lifelong horse lover and horses were always part of her "fairytale', which is the inspiration behind our name. Sarah saw the benefits that working with her horses had for herself and her children, especially her oldest child who has additional needs. She wanted to share the healing power of horses with others and decided to become a certified Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator through the leading edge school, Equine Connection Ltd.. Sarah looks forward to meeting and sharing her horses with you.
